Auskick

The NAB AFL Auskick program provides a fun and safe Australian Football experience for boys and girls in pre-primary (5 years of age) through to year 2.  The program has been developed to build the foundation skills for playing Australian Football and to ensure all children, regardless of their ability, have an equal opportunity to handle the ball in order to develop their co-ordination, ball handling skills, confidence and social skills need to play a team sport.

The Scarborough Junior Football Club Auskick program is built on parental participation and ensuring the children’s experience is safe, fun and rewarding.  Auskick provides an excellent opportunity for children to meet other local kids and form new friendships – with the club’s strong community feel, this applies equally to parents!

The new Auskick model, introduced in 2019, allows kids of all abilities to develop their hand eye coordination and skills whilst having fun and making new friends. It is easier for parents to participate and the AFL has made a series of short videos that explain all the drills.

Auskick is held on Sundays from 9am – 10.30am at Millington Reserve, Karrinyup. The Auskick season has 14 playing days plus a Claremont District Gala Day with breaks for school holidays.
