Scarborough 12.4 (76) v Wanneroo 1.1 (7)
The grand final started on a positive note with all 25 players being available for the big game against the Wanneroo Roos. The pre-game discussion focused on lifting intensity, high tackling pressure, repeat effort and quick ball movement. The boys delivered on all fronts from the first bounce, suffocating the Roos when in possession and free flowing when we had the ball. Every player was focused on their team role and by half time our dominance was reflected on the scoreboard with the Sea Eagles 39 v Roos 1.To the boys credit there was no let up in the second half with a clinical performance in no doubt what was our best four quarter performance of the season. Elijah Mahia was awarded best on ground in what must have been a tough decision in such an even team performance. The celebration was robust and well deserved for all the hard work put in during the season.
